Annette Pye
Thirty years ago, a colleague asked Annette if she would like to join her for some lunchtime dancing as a way of keeping fit. Annette had always enjoyed dancing, so she joined her friend’s morris side — a decision she has never regretted.
At the time, Annette knew very little about folk music or folk traditions. Later, friends suggested that she and her husband visit the folk club to see Bully Wee perform. They began attending more regularly, and organiser Pam Collis eventually persuaded Annette to perform a floor spot.
Today, Annette organises the club’s weekly floor spots. She continues to dance and also plays music.
